There are several ways to add content to your knowledge base in Slite — whether you’re migrating from another tool or starting from scratch.
1) Import content in bulk
Already have content stored in other tools? You can import multiple docs at once into Slite.
First, create a few channels so you can organize the content as it comes in(Learn more here and remember to keep it simple for the import.)
Click Import at the bottom of the left sidebar
Select your source and your destination channel
Each imported file will become its own doc in Slite
If you use the last option, you can use the Command/Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple files.
2) Import on a doc level
Hover over a doc in the sidebar and click the + button to add a doc inside it.
Add a caption...
You will have the choice to import a file and use it as content for the doc you just created while it is still empty. You can also still choose to import content from another app.
Import content in a new doc while it is still empty.
Note: Importing at the doc level supports one file at a time.
3) Create a doc from scratch
Hover over any channel or doc in the sidebar and click the + button to create a new doc.
You can then use the editor to build your new doc from scratch.
