Backing Up Your Data
Need a copy of your workspace content? You can request a manual or automatic backup — this guide shows you how to do both.

How to Request a Backup
To access the settings related to backups, click your team logo in the top left, then:
Click
Settings
.
Choose
Workspace
>
General Settings
in the sidebar.
Scroll down until you see the
Export & Backup
section.
Export & backup settings.

From there you can:
Manually request a backup of your workspace content
Click
Select export format
and pick the format you want (Markdown or HTML.)
Once ready, the export file will be sent to the
workspace owner
as an archive.
Enable automatic workspace backups (Markdown only)
Every month, the export file will be sent to the
workspace owner
as an archive.
Who Can Download Backups and How
The
workspace owner
will receive an email from
hello@slite.com
with a link to download an archive (a
.zip
file) that contains the data.
The download link will be valid during 15 days.
Only the workspace owner can download backup downloads
If you see an
Unauthorized
error, make sure to be signed in as the workspace owner in your browser.
Files over 200MiB will not be included in backups.
