Importing from Notion

Save hours by not only importing your documents' content but also the way you organised them in Notion.
You can export your content from Notion into Slite one page at a time or all at once, below you can find more information on both options.

How to export a Notion doc

    In Notion, open the page you wish to export > open the "..." menu on the top right corner and select "Export".
    Set the options as follow:
  • Select export format: "HTML"
  • Select include database: "Current view"
  • Select include content: "Everything"
  • Check "Include subpages"
  • Check "Create folders for subpages"
  • Check "Export comments"

    Click "Export" and wait for the archive to generate and download.


How to export a Notion workspace

    In Notion, go to "Settings and members", then "Settings" under the workspace section.
    Click on "Export all workspace content"
    Choose the HTML export format.


How to import your content into Slite

    Click on "Import" in the lower section of the left sidebar.
    Alternatively, in the Mac app, you can choose File > Import... from the menu bar.
    Select Notion as your source.
    Choose the downloaded Notion ZIP archive from the file picker.
    Pick your destination channel in Slite.
    When the import is done, you'll receive a notification.


What can you import?

Users are not imported, this means that your mentions will be converted into text.
  • The doc structure (what you see in your sidebar in Notion)
  • The doc content, including 
  • Headers, bullet points, numbered list, etc
  • Hint block
  • Links between docs
  • Images
  • Videos
  • The databases will be Collections in Slite
