Readers

The Reader role is available in the Enterprise plan.
Please contact  support@slite.com  if this is something you'd like to further explore for your account.

Reader Role Overview

The Reader role is designed for people who only need to read and comment on existing content — not create or edit it.
This role is discounted but also gives access to limited features.
Learn more about the access levels of the different roles in Slite:  User Roles

How to Add Readers

When the reader role is enabled for your account you'll have the option to select the license type (member or reader) when inviting a new member.
To invite a new member click your team logo in the top left, choose Settings, then Member management. From there, click Invite and you will find three methods to invite readers:
  • Via an invite link
  • From Google or Slack
  • Via email
  • To invite multiple people at once, separate the email addresses with a comma and no space.
Make sure to select the reader role in the dropdown menus.

How to Promote Readers

At any given time you can promote a reader to a regular member. This gives you flexibility to adapt as your team evolves.
To change the role of a reader, click its role in the Role column, then choose another role from the list.
Changing a reader to a a regular member/admin/billing admin will update your billing on the next invoice.
