By syncing your Linear account, you can instantly search for all your teams, issues, and comments directly in Super. This guide will walk you through the key aspects of the Super and Linear connection.
Connecting Linear & Super
This is the first step to get started. This section covers how to set up the connection between Super and Linear.
Required Permissions for Setup
To connect Super and Linear, you must have the necessary permissions in both platforms.
In Super: Permission to add or remove data sources depends on your team's settings. By default, only workspace admins or owners can set up a connection. However, a Super admin can enable a setting to allow all members to add and remove data sources.
In Linear: The user connecting the accounts must be an active admin in Linear.
Initial Linear Connection
To begin, you need to connect your Linear account with Super.
In Super, click Data Sources in the left sidebar.
Find the Linear option and click Connect Linear.

A new window will open. Super is requesting permission to access your Linear workspace. Review the permissions and click Allow.
After clicking Allow, you will be redirected back to Super, where you can select the specific Linear teams you want to sync.
Once you've selected your teams, the initial data sync will begin.
Once the initial sync is complete, you can use Linear everywhere in Super as a Data Source.

During the initial connection, Super will perform a bulk import of all issues from the past 365 days.Due to API rate limits from Linear, this process may take some time to complete, especially if you have a large number of issues.If you see "Rate limit exceeded", indexing will continue automatically once available.
Removing a Linear team from Super
To disconnect a Linear team from Super, select it, then click Remove 1 Source.
You can use Shift-Click to select multiple Linear teams at once.
You can press the Escape key to deselect all selected Linear teams.

To make your search results more useful, Super automatically pulls and indexes key information from your Linear issues. This includes:

Assignee and creator details.

URL references back to the original issue in Linear.
Access Control & Privacy
All Super members can ask about all the synced Linear teams if they have an account with the same email address in Linear. Issues from private Linear teams are only accessible to the members of that specific team.
