Comments

Use comments in Slite to give feedback, ask questions, or start discussions — directly in context.
Whether you’re reviewing a full doc or just one sentence, comments help your team collaborate async without cluttering the content.
You can use comments in two ways:
  • Global comments — about the entire doc
  • Inline comments — attached to specific parts of the doc

How to Add Comments

Add a Global Comment

To add a global comment:
Click the Speech Balloon icon in the top-right of a doc to open the comments panel
Click Add a comment… and start typing
In the comments panel, newest replies on  inline comments  will appear first, followed by global comments.

Add an Inline Comment

To add an inline comment:
    Highlight an element
Click the Speech Balloon icon to the right of the toolbar that appears
Tips:- You can press Command-Option-M (Mac) or Ctrl + Alt + M (Windows) to add an inline comment.- You can add a line break by pressing Shift-Return.- You can @mention docs and people in your comments.

How to View New Comments

There are two visual cues when a doc has new comments:
The Speech Balloon icon in the top right turns yellow
This icon will turn yellow when there’s at least one unread comment (global or inline.) Click it to view the comments thread.
You can use the comments panel to filter by open or resolved status.
A comment bubble appears to the right of the commented element
Individual bubble icons will appear next to each part of the doc when there are inline comments.
Clicking on them will display each thread, and you can navigate to the previous or following thread by using the arrows.
These bubbles will turn yellow when there's a new comment that you haven't read yet.
