Guests are external collaborators — like clients, freelancers, or consultants — who can work with you on private docs and channels in Slite without becoming full members.Guests are free of charge, and you can invite up to 5 guests per paying member.
What Are Guests?
Consider inviting guests if you need to share docs with people who aren't members of your team and:
Share access to a doc without making it public, thus keeping it confidential.
Manage access of individual people.
Offer the same level of collaboration as regular members (mentions, comments, notifications, etc.)
In case you simply want to share a public link, you use the Share to web functionality.Learn more: Public Sharing
How to Invite Guests
You can invite guests via the Share menu of a channel or doc. From there:
Click Collaborate with external people.
Submit an email address. (You can also send invitations to the people in your contact lists.)
Select the relevant permission: Writer or Reader.
Add a caption...
After inviting a guest, they’ll receive an email invite to join your channel or doc. They’ll be prompted to sign up, which won’t affect your billing since they’re a guest.
Guests can only see the channels and docs you shared with them, and they won't see anything else in the workspace. Depending on their access (writer or reader), they can create content (writer) or leave comments (reader).
