Search

Search helps you find the right docs fast.

Access Search

To make a search, use the shortcut Command-K (or Ctrl + K on Windows) or click Search in the top left.
In the desktop app, you can also use Command-T (or Ctrl + T on Windows.)
In the list of results, you will only see docs that you as an individual have access to.
Tip: If you don't enter anything in the search bar, we will show you the docs you've edited and viewed recently. All the best results, in one place.

Narrow your results with filters

You can use filters to restrict your search to specific types of content, channels, date range, people who have edited (contributors), or search for verified docs only. You can choose several filters at once.
To stop filtering, click Clear filters to the right of the filters.

Red Question MarkFAQ

How often is Search updated?

  • Newly created docs should appear in search within a few seconds (and they'll be available for @tagging in other docs, at that point).
  • Updates to existing docs content (rather than titles) could take a bit longer, up to 5 minutes, to index.

What are the limitations of Search?

Currently, our search capability is limited to the first 40,000 characters in a doc. For very, very long docs, results after that 40,000 character limit will not appear in search.

How do I search using a URL?

Type  https://yourdomain.slite.com/?q=test+hello  and it will open your workspace with your query. Just make sure to separate your keywords with + instead of a space.
