By connecting Super with your Confluence workspace, you can instantly ask about all your Confluence pages directly in Super.This guide will walk you through the key aspects of the Super and Confluence connection.

Connecting Confluence & Super

This is the first step to get started. This section covers how to set up the connection between Super and Confluence.

Required Permissions for Setup

To connect Super and Confluence, you must have the necessary permissions in both platforms.
  • In Super: Permission to add or remove data sources depends on your team's settings. By default, only workspace admins or owners can set up a connection. However, a Super admin can enable a setting to allow all members to add and remove data sources.
  • In Confluence: The user connecting the workspace must be an admin.

Initial Confluence Connection

To begin, you need to connect your Confluence workspace with Super.
    In Super, click Data Sources at the bottom of the left sidebar.
    Find the Confluence option and click Connect Confluence.
    Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your Atlassian account.
    You will be prompted to give the  Super.work  - Confluence integration access to your Atlassian account. Choose a site, then click Accept.
    On the  Super.work  - Confluence integration page that opens, click Get app in the top-right corner.
    Select the same site as before, and click Install.
    Once the installation is successful, you can close the window or click the Cancel button.
    The initial data sync will begin.It may take a few moments before you can see your Confluence spaces reflected in Super, as well as Confluence in the Data Sources Filter when asking a question.
    Once the initial sync is complete, you can use Confluence everywhere in Super as a Data Source.

Syncing Confluence Spaces in Super

Once you’ve connected your Confluence workspace to Super, you can start syncing your Confluence spaces.
    In the Sources tab, select the spaces you want to sync, then click Sync sources.

Removing Confluence from Super

To disconnect Confluence from Super
    Go to the Settings tab.
    Click Disconnect.
    Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the integration in Confluence directly.
    In Confluence, click Uninstall in the top-right.

How Super Indexes Your Confluence Spaces

What We Sync

Super will index pages from your Confluence workspace from the past year and will keep pages older than 12 months.
For instance, if you've started indexing pages two years ago, Super will still keep pages older than 1 year.

Refresh Rate

New and updated Confluence pages will appear in Super automatically every 6 hours.
However, you can always sync manually if you need the latest data immediately:

Metadata

To make your search results more useful, Super automatically indexes metadata from your Confluence pages, including:
  • Space title
  • Page title & contents
  • Page status
  • Page version
  • Creation date
  • Last modified date
  • Author information

Access Control & Privacy

Super maintains the same permissions as your Confluence workspace.
Each Super member will need to authenticate individually with their Atlassian account to access the data.
