Images

Images can tell your story, make your case, and add style to your docs.

Supported formats and sizes

Your images (including animated gifs) must be smaller than 20 MB and in an image format that browsers can understand such as .gif, .jpg, .png, .heic, .webm, etc.

Adding an image

There are several ways to add an image to a doc in Slite. For example:
  • Paste an image you've copied into your clipboard
  • Drag and drop an image
  • Upload an image via the editor toolbar to select a file (type /file) from your hard drive
  • Type /image to bring up the file upload prompt
Just like other types of blocks, images can be moved around by holding the four-dot icon to the left of the block.

Resizing an image

Hover over the left or right margin of the image to see the resize (directional arrow) icon.

Creating an image gallery

Drag and drop your images to put them into a gallery layout. Up to 3 images may be placed per row.

Centering images

By default, images will be aligned to the left. To center an image, click it, then choose the "Center image" button.

Viewing an image full-width

Choose the Expand icon after selecting your image.
