Collapsible Sections (Toggles)

Collapsible blocks, also known as toggles, let you collapse or expand sections of your document to provide a cleaner and more focused look.

Collapsing a section

Click the arrow to the left of a header. This lets you toggle whether the content for each section is collapsed or expanded.

Keeping a section collapsed

You can keep a section collapsed or expanded by pressing Shift-Click when hovering over its header.
Alternatively, you can click the four-dot menu next to the arrow and choose "Keep this section collapsed/expanded" from the list that appears.

Defining sections

Sections encompass all the blocks below a header and terminate when a header of the same level (1–4) is encountered.
For instance, a section under a Heading 1 will include all blocks, including H2 and H3 sections, underneath it. It will stop when another H1 is encountered.
If you want to stop a section before, you can use a separator, which you can insert by adding three dashes: ---.
