Since Slite is intended to be a collaborative workspace, we don't differentiate between readers and writers in pricing - all full members are charged. Member roles are determined by the owner or admin of a channel. That said, you can always add guests to individual channels, or create a public channel that anyone can see.
Cascading permissions
By default, permissions are inherited from parent documents. However you can also customize the permissions at the sub levels to get more flexibility in the way your structure your content. See more on this here: 🛂Cascading permissions
Making private / Removing access
Just click on the down arrow beside the listed role "everyone at
Your Org " in your Share menu to remove the permission. Then, choose the "no access" role and click 'Restrict access'.
You can also overwrite the permissions at the user level in the Share modal.
How to set up read-only permissions
Open the doc you want to edit the permissions for
Click "share" in the upper right hand corner of the doc
Select whether you want the user to be a reader, writer, or no access

Permissions with users group
Pro tip: protect editing
You don't want to put people as read only but you want to avoid edits by mistake? You can prevent editing for writers by clicking the 3 dots in the right hand corner and toggling "Protect editing".
You can change these permissions at any time.
