Embeds

You can easily embed content from Airtable, Google Drive, Youtube, Miro, and many other tools. Anything that enables a public preview is suitable to embed.

How to embed

Use the /embed command in the editor and you'll see a prompt to paste a share URL from your tools.

Certain content such as videos will be embedded automatically when you paste the URL.
For instance, try copying this link and pasting it into your doc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSDU84s0SUU

What can I embed?

You can embed a wide range of content in Slite:
  • Forms like Typeform, Google Form, Jotform.
  • Spreadsheets like Airtable, Google Sheets, Rows.
  • Videos through YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Wistia.
  • Slides like Google Slides, Pitch, Canva.

Hiding the preview of embedded content

Select the block and click the "Hide preview" icon which looks like a crossed-out eye.

Testing the content you'd like to embed

To see if your publicly shared content will work, enter the share URL here:
If it doesn't work, make sure that your content is "available to anyone with the link". You should find a similar setting for this in your tool
If the content still cannot be embedded, it is worthing  reaching out to Iframely support directly.

How does embedded content differ from uploaded content?

Embedded content is hosted outside of Slite, while uploaded content is hosted with us and will count in your file limits.
