Deleting your Slite Account

This article explains how to close your entire Slite workspace.

Please note that only the owner of a Slite account can request to delete it.

How to close your Slite account

From your email

Send us an email to  support@slite.com  with the email you used to sign-in and your organisation name, and we'll help you take care of the deletion.


From the web or the desktop app

To permanently delete your team's Slite account and data, follow these steps:
    .1Head to your Workspace settings via the top left menu in your Slite app.
    .2Navigate to the General settings.
    .3Click the red "Delete my team" button at the bottom of the page.
    .4You'll be given a prompt to confirm that you're sure.




From the mobile app (Android/iOS)

To delete your account from the mobile app, follow these steps:
    .1Go to the Settings in your mobile app (top left icon on the home page).
    .2Open the Account deletion section and tap the Delete account button.
    .3Once the action is confirmed, your account will be deleted along with all your data.

You can then safely delete the app from your device as well.


Who can make the delete request?

Only a team's   owner   may delete it.


What happens to our data?

Owners will receive an email confirming the deletion, with a link to their team's backup docs.

Please note, this does not include any personal docs of team members. Members will each receive an email with the data from their "My private channels".

Data backups will need downloaded right away, as the download links expire in 15 days, with no way to recover anything after.
