The version history lets you see what has been added, modified, and deleted in a doc since its creation date. It's essentially a changelog. You can quickly highlight the most recent changes made to the doc so they stand out.
How to consult the doc history?
To access the doc history:
.1Click the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner.
.2Click History.
Add a caption...
.3From the History, you can then choose which version you want to view.
If you want to highlight the changes made to the version you're viewing, toggle "Highlight changes" on.
Add a caption...
Additions that were new in the version you're viewing (from the one before it) appear highlighted in green, while removed words appear in red.
Recover lost work
You can restore to a previous version of your doc by opening the docs history. Select the version in the left side menu that you want to revert to, then click Restore in the top right of the history menu.
Add a caption...
How are doc versions triggered?
Slite records a version in history after a period of inactivity. After you update your doc, Slite will wait 5 minutes before adding that version.
Notes
You'll see Slitebot appearing sometimes. This is simply our system.
Restoring a previous version of a collection is not supported at this time.
