Search Engine Indexing

Search engine indexing allows your public Slite docs to appear in Google and other search engine results — ideal for Help Centers, product FAQs, or public resources.

How to Enable Search Engine Indexing

To enable search engine indexing for a doc or channel, toggle on the option in its Share modal.
This option is only available on docs that have been shared publicly.

Red Question MarkFAQ

Why does my doc still show a no-index tag in the source code?

Even if your doc is public and search engine indexing is enabled, the source code may still show a no-index tag. This is expected — Slite serves a separate, optimized version of your doc to search engines that does not include the tag.
